From 14-22 June, in Kerch was 1st in a row an international chess festival "Bosporus-2011". This is the biggest chess event in our city since 1998. The festival took place in a health-recreational complex "Bosporus". Sponsor of this major sporting event gave our kerchanin - Maxim Kabanov. The festival was attended by 53 chess players from Ukraine, Russia, Moldova and Kazakhstan, among which two international masters and two FIDE Masters.
Rate-tournament favorite, "A" was the Crimean MM Alexander Shemeakin (2309). Chief Justice Tournament "A" and "B" - Alyabysheva Galina, the tournament "C" - Borshchov Alexander. It is worth noting that chess battle was on the move until the last round of competitions. Until the end it was not clear who will take this or that place. In the main event of the festival, very confident young player in the lead from Ufa - Tukhvatulin Vladislav (2298). Already evolved all the predictions about his victory, but probably not much experience in such competitions prevented him from successfully complete the tournament. After a second round of the competition, he drew with Yuri Baranov, former representative of Kerch, he lost to Roman Martynov (2222), which was advancing on his heels. This is the victory and allowed to take first place in Martynov main event of the festival "Bosporus-2011." Second place, after the counting of additional factors, Simferopol became an international master Alexander Shemyakin. Well, got the bronze - Tukhvatulin Vladislav.
The tournament "B" (1997 born and younger) is worth noting the successful performance of two representatives of Simferopol: Mukhtarova Victoria and Anastasia Mukhtarova. Two sisters have been able to go in the same breath the entire tournament and win the first and second place respectively. They did not prevent defeat in the final round! Congratulations to our krymchanok with a successful performance at this festival. Third place in the tournament won player of Kharkov - Maxim Reznik.
In the tournament, "C" (2001 born and younger), the net first with a score of 9 points out of 9 possible, took a young but very promising player - Shemyakin Valera. (in our opinion, he had to fight for the gold in the tournament "B" - a comment.'s). Competition he was trying to make a spokeswoman Kharkov chess school - Krasnokutskaya Sofia. She confidently scored 8 points, but lost to the champion, won the second prize. Bronze went to the representative of St. Petersburg - Balichevoy Jan, which is 3 years younger than the age category of the tournament.
